I did a trade last year with a friend who bought a nice old Ballard target rifle and needed a scope for his failing vision. I wanted the iron sights on that rifle, and offered him his choice of 3 target scopes I had. Of course he chose my favorite, and old JW Fecker 12x scope I'd owned for over 40 years! A few weeks ago he mentioned he needed still more magnification and bought another 20x target scope. I asked him what his plan was for the Fecker and he asked if I wanted it back? Of course I did, so he sent it back to me.
After typical USPS screw ups, and the scope leaving and returning to Denver 5 times, it finally left for good and arrived here today! It will go back on the same old rifle it had been on for many years now. He had a little heavier crosshairs installed in it, but not so heavy as to make them too thick. Great to have this nice Fecker back home again!
