Looking to buy a .22 semi auto. This will be for firearms training for my kids. They have a bolt action so I think it's time to step up a little.

I was planning to get a Ruger 10/22 And throw a magpul stock on it but figured I would see what's on the market before my money goes to Cabelas. Looking to keep it under $500.

Send me what you got. I'm in Salem but have to go to Portland tomorrow (3/12) so I can meet up there if need be.

Don't train the Kids with Crickets & 10/22 Rifles , train them in the Tactical realms ...

You can get a new 10/22 for less than $200. You might even find a compact model for close to the same price.

I wish I had known about small bore rifle competition when I was young.
Loved shooting my 22 but had no idea about small bore competition.
Many clubs support junior small bore rifle competition with loaner rifles
and free ammo.
