I just missed a guy on FAL Files (local to me here in Albany) who was needing .22LR, and had SPP to trade... 1-for-1. His idea was that if you bought .22LR cheap, you can get your primers "cheap". If you got hammered on .22LR, you are going to get hammered on SPP.

Anyone like this idea?

I've got .22LR - Federal, Remington Thunderbolt, and CCI 'Auto-match' (i'm pretty sure that's what it's called...).

I need SPP. I was thinking 1,000 or 2,000, but I'd go as high as 5,000 if you want an entire case of Federal something.

That's what I had in mind. It still works out for the primer guys - they bought their stuff at $0.025/each, and the .22LR was probably closer to $0.04 (4 cents) each.

These days I think guys are getting $0.12 each on SPP (tons of money!), but guys sell 525 bricks of .22LR for $100 or $80.

I think 1-for-1 is close, and it's what I had in mind.
