Looking for a home defense shotgun that the wife will be comfortable shooting/practicing with. She is not too keen on the 12 gauge, so I'd like to try out a 20.

Semi-auto would be great, but pump works too.

Consider a .410 if she does not have experience. As you know a 20 guage is stout for an inexperienced shooter. Good luck.

I know a 410 would have even less recoil, but the 20 is the smallest I'd be comfortable having, personally.
