Meltup was well done. There are good opportunities to convert cash to PMs currently. That is after all the other bases are covered.

It beats withering away and dying in some assisted living facility. Witnessing the greatest transfer of wealth and control in human history. Unfortunately, in the 'from' in that equation will be the former US middle class.

As to the 'why would they do that" it is simple. The goal is complete global control of everyone on the planet. To that end, all nations must be on par with one another so that global government and banking can be imposed. The US is living high on the debt bubble. The fiat Ponzi will be popped and the US citizenry will be put on par with the average global citizen in terms of 'wealth'.

I agree there are definitely worse things than death. Standing up and resisting oppression/fascism probably will get you cut down, locked up, your family killed etc. But dying without having stood up against whats wrong would be worse i think, for me and the family who would watch me live and die so spinelessly.

Slow or creeping fascism is a term that bugs me cause its totally a 1984 Orwellian term. I mean, how fascist does it have to get before we just call it Fascism, how many decades does it have to slowly creep before it gets to full-blown? Wasn't it creeping fascism in the 20s and early 30s? Furthermore, we don't have to wait till it looks like Germany 1936. Its not gonna look like Germany 1936 - that flavor ultimately failed. And in whose interest is it that we downplay it anyway? Not mine, not yours.

Honestly, I doubt the government/whatever would have sufficient payoff to blatantly enslave a huge populace. The cost to police and feed that many people would be greater than the gain. There's not really a reason for that size of an industrial workforce if the private consumer economy becomes irrelevant, or if resource/energy scarcity make massive industrial output impossible. I gauge it to be more in their long term interests to let us devour ourselves, and save their own stockpiles. That said, I definitely expect strategic targeted attacks to undercut the establishment of any potential rivals or to secure certain regional resources.

Something like mid-20th century fascism where part of the population is destroyed to feed, clothe, employ the remainder would be driven by populism, a mass movement of middle and lower class America demanding the return at any cost to the luxury binge most of us grew up to expect and feel entitled to. Something like that wont come from the elites cause its a losing investment of resources. I mean they'd (have to) let it happen and try to skew things in their favor, make a buck, whatever. But their long term survival isnt served by fascism any more than its served by socialism or capitalism or civilization for that matter.

The thinning the herd comment is probably pretty close to the truth. Maybe I didnt get the memo, but the planet only has so much stuff. Certain things may not totally run out, but they will get harder to come by. We are already seeing it. Whether we are talking about oil, water, arable top soil, fisheries, ecosystems. Its not a question of if there will be a huge reduction in population.

The way I see it, I dont even think the elites and powers-that-be have enough power to control when and how and if the collapse happens. What is coming is bigger than power systems. Its bigger than civilization. The collapse itself isnt the evil plan of elites. It is inevitable at this point. They just evily plan around it. They certainly tweak and skew things so they will have better opportunities to take control of whatever the next chapter turns out to be. I think they have been "prepping" for this eventuality since economists began publishing warnings about civilization overshoot 70 years ago. This economic downturn, another Orwellian label, is not the cause of the coming collapse. The downturn is "just" a consequence of the elites' prepping for the collapse. They wanted to steal everything we the people created in this country over the last few decades, so they double inflated the economy and traded us the air.

blk04specv, telling someone to volunteer themselves for thinning misses the point totally. Its not a comment about population really, more an observation about the current conditions and physics. Massive die-off is an effect of collapse, but creating a massive die off wont prevent collapse. That said, I also hate it when people blame the world's problems on population cause what they usually mean is that there are too many black brown and yellow people on the planet. But population by itself isnt the problem. If people didn't eat, excrete, or take up any space there could be 100 billion people, no problem. The issue is how much stuff is left on the planet.

Excellent video

Thanks for sharing

Well after listening the video a little closer, I have to correct the commentor or shall say explain the facts

The commentor said the USG employees on average make higher wages than private sector, this is mis-information by leaving out some factual data. In 2006 the DOD came out and said all service will have an A-76 study done <broken link removed> this is see if having federal employees do a job is cheaper than contracting it out. Thus a lot of lower wage paying jobs, ( I am not saying less intellectually) but a lot of ex-dod jobs are now contracted out. And DOD employees manage contractors, when a fair comparison apples to apples are done, DOD civilian and a lot of other federal jobs, the federal employee makes a lot less than a person in commercial industry, but in a lot of cases have double the responsibility especially in certain position supporting war fighters, or forestery personnel in getting what they need to protect hime owners from wild fires.

I have worked both and know as DOD civilian employee my counter parts in industry are making as much as double what I am making, but what I do is important to me, so i do it.

This was comment about the commentator not the poster of the video.
