This is a black powder cap and ball revolver in 44 caliber. Not 45 Colt (long colt). It is a very nice revolver.... perhaps the nicest of it's type. I have long wanted one but I have a couple 1858s that suffice.
As a black powder item....no FFL needed for this.

I used to occasionally buy old tools from folks in FL. No more! Mostly nice folks, but the entire state is an accelerated rust machine. And not just minor surface rust. I don't know how firearms do in FL, but if those tools are any indicator...... well...

You aren't wrong about the rust especially near the coastlines I'm inland heartland actually is what they call it it all about humidity really I keep charcoal and dehumidifier bags in my safes this pistol had a bit of surface rust on he hammer as it's untreated so that lead me to learn to disassemble it and check other parts hammer spring had a small amount near bottom and pusher finger had a little as well all cleaned up nice and no pitting

This is where I get lost lol I don't doubt you one bit however in the off chance I don't get paid what would be my next step? I only have the info provided here I understand that I am new not in the general location the group is based in and have zero feedback I 100% don't blame you I just would like some type of piece of mind lol

Given the totality of circumstance, you not getting paid is far less risky (actually zero risk) than me not getting an Old Army. 67 positive feedbacks and 16 years on this site….
