  1. I have read and accept the classified system rules and terms of service.
This thing is a peach of a shooter. Couple chambers have a tiny hitch at the very beginning of the pull. Previous owner had the hand replaced, and it looks like the bottom hand is just a smidge high and rubs a tiny bit at the beginning of the pull

Also had the barrel liner replaced, and this thing stacks them. Lockup is good, times straight. 1961 manufacture. Kevin over at Kevin's Gunsmithing in Keizer replaced the barrel liner

is the barrel relined?
Thank you, thought I included that but I've been sick and running about ten percent brain. Kevin over at Kevin's Gunsmithing in Keizer replaced the barrel liner. I'll add that to the initial post

Edit: I guess it was in the initial post. Detail added regardless

not to my knowledge i have had a few and still do ,never seen one lined , do you have a picture of the muzzle?
Looking into it again, and I'm finding conflicting information on that. Entirely possible that I read the wrong source and it just stuck

Here's some pictures of the muzzle

I had another Colt recently, and I'm thinking something similar may have happened with this

The little Colt auto pistol I had was obviously lovingly cared for, everything but the bore. It looked like they did nothing to protect it, and it full on rotted most of the rifling out. It's the only thing that makes sense with this Python, because the gun is not beat up or heavily worn. Unless someone tried cleaning the bore with a rat tail file or something, nothing else makes sense as to why it was changed

The one I had that went to hell was a .32
Barrel was full of powder and dust, must have attracted moisture

As for this one, I can only guess. As for why not Colt, they will not work on anything ten years or older
