*This is a very clean little Stevens, Serial Number 10XX. Made in 1936 and looks great to to me. Will shoot Shorts, Longs and Long Rifle cartridges. Stock was refinished sometime in the past and done very well. One issue, Stock has been shortened by about 3/4" and has a finished Butt Stock but no Butt Plate. This is an early model that 'does not' cock on bolt cycling - strictly manual cocking. A bit difficult to see in the photo's but the rear sight is complete with the riser. I had one similar when I was a kid a 'long' time ago- a great beginners rifle
