- I have read and accept the classified system rules and terms of service.
I bought this gun a few years ago. I love the idea of it, but I've only shot it once in multiple years I've owned it. So it's time to see if anyone else loves it as much as me!
This is a shooter grade 1903 NRA Sporter. It has a great bore and nice wood. Metal finish is decent for its age as well. It has Lyman sights front and rear. The 2 - 34 barrel has a star gauge number on the bottom, but does not have a star gauge stamp on the muzzle, so the crown may have been touched up. The butt has a well installed thin red rubber pad instead of the original metal plate. The bolt headspace's fine, but is not original to the gun. It is drilled and tapped for Unertl style scope bases.
All that being said, it's still a real 1903 Springfield NRA Sporter. Good bore, good wood, and shootable without feeling bad.
I have photos posted but if you want more, send me a private message.
I am asking $1800 o.b.o. I understand this is steep, but it's a fairly rare rifle. I might take a partial trade, but would like to do mostly a cash deal if possible. Please keep all offers and correspondence via PM to keep the thread clean.
The rifle and I are in Sweet Home, but might travel as far as Salem or Eugene for a deal. Buyer pays transfer costs at an agreed upon FFL.
