Its a Loewe...almost guaranteed pre-1898, DWMs were laterThis rifle might not even need any transfers if it was made before 1898. It all depends on when it was manufacturer. One could find out from the serial number. Could you, please, let us know the first two digits of the serial number (on the receiver) and the number of digits. Most of these Mausers were made before 1899.
Correct, per Colin Webster's book on Argentine Mausers, "M" serial numbers are 1895 production.Quicky check says yes, pre-1898...probably '95 or 6 production.
