I have an old smoothbore that started as a flintlock with a crappy lock,
so i converted it to a caplock by removing the pan, frizzen and spring and
placing a piece of steel in the jaws. Works great. Barrel was shortened to 26" and some small brass tacks added to the buttstock.
I have both musket cap nipple and #11 nipple and nearly 2 bags of overshot card wads. Not a looker but a good shooter with
both shot or a .648 rd ball. Makes a great all around hunting gun for big game and birds. I have a $70 Tanner brass round ball mold to go with it. If you pick it up face to face i will
throw in a pound of powder. I want $375.
