I have an old smoothbore that started as a flintlock with a crappy frizzen,
so i converted it to a caplock by removing the pan, frizzen and spring and
placing a piece of steel in the jaws. Works great. Barrel was shortened to 26".
Has some small brass tacks in right sight of buttstock as can be seen in pics.
I have both musket cap nipple and #11 nipple. Have nearly 2 bags of Circle Fly
over shot wads, a $70 Tanner brass .648 round ball mold. Make a great all around
hunting gun. Accurate with the round balls out to at least 60-70 yds, and does well
with shot loads out to 25-30 yds for grouse and quail. I will throw in a can of 2f powder
and a tin of musket caps with it as well. I want $350 for all of it. NO FFL needed.
I can meet within 50 miles or so of Roseburg.
