I'm also new to BP and have a Pietta 1858 Remington and Uberti 1860 Colt. I struggled with the #10's coming off. I swapped to the Slixspring nipples and #11 with much better results. https://www.slixprings.com/proddetail.php?prod=SliXshot-Black-Powder-Nipples

Natchez is having hazmat sale that ends today. They did have #10 caps when I looked earlier.
