Walter Wells "Blackie" Collins (1939 – July 20, 2011) was an American knife maker who designed and popularized the assisted opening mechanism and various automatic knife designs within the art of knifemaking. He is cited by other knifemakers and collectors as one of the most innovative knife designers in the world and was an author and the founder of what became Blade Magazine. Collins died July 20, 2011 in a motorcycle accident near North, South Carolina.
Sold Pending Funds
Thiss is old school Gerber. I bought it used in this condition. Unsharpened but some scratching or rubbing on the tip. I thought about sendig it to Gerber for a refurb but decided to sell it instead. $100.
This is how I got it, I was going to send it back to Gerber for sharpening and tune up. I've decided to let someone else handle that.
Both medallions are solid in the handle scales, the sheath locks up tight and you can read the BC signature on the blade.
