It fits the classical definition of a Halley-type comet with (20 years < period < 200 years). It was discovered in January 1867, by Jérôme Eugène Coggia at Marseilles Observatory, France. The maximum number of times a person would be alive to witness this comet is 3 times in their lifetime (As it takes Half as long as Halleys Comet to orbit earth)
