ORTW is a family owned business that was officially started back in 1983. It has its deep roots in firearms, hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities that goes back several generations.The name comes as a tribute to the 104th Infantry Division (Timberwolf Division) of the US Army in which the founder served with during WWII. The Timberwolf Division had trained in Oregon extensively prior to their deployment overseas.
ORTW first started out as a general repair shop specializing in hand guns. Over the years we have evolved into providing all services from general repair to full line customization of all firearms. Our experience comes from not just on the job training, but training and certification from manufacturers such as Smith & Wesson, Colt, Glock, Sig Sauer, Heckler & Koch, Benelli, to name just a few.
The master gunsmith, Bob Haphey, has had over 43 years of experience working with firearms. He is a 29 year retired veteran of law enforcement. He was a Departmental Firearms instructor and was the Official Departmental Armoror for each agency he worked with. Throughout his law enforcement career, Bob was involved in competitive handgun and high powered rifle shooting with numerous awards and accomplishments which brings about his passion for operational weapon improvement and accuracy. In his retirement, Bob has focused in expanding the gun shop to a fulltime operation offering gun repair, bluing and customization services at affordable pricing.
