Staff is disengaged and seemingly bored with customers
Staff ignore customers waiting
Small cramped and cluttered shop
Third times the charm - I've been to the Tigard store six times over the last two years, and actually tried to do business with them three of those times. I try really hard to support local businesses and the neighborhood teams but…
The staff always, always seem uninterested in customers and obviously your money, even when there is nobody else in the store shopping.
Ammo - only one box per custom still.
Trades - Ask lots of questions if you are thinking about a trade. They say they give you a "60% cash, and 70% store credit" on traded used guns. If you do that, I recommend you go back a few days later and see if your cash or paper receipt trade value matches what they are selling it for, or actually sold the gun for. Be careful…personal experience.
Arrived saturday afternoon to a long line out the door. Seemed like a good sign to me. However the people working there do not seem to understand the meaning of customer service. A simple greeeting, we'll be with you shortly, etc goes a long way compared to a downright surly/unfriendly demeanor when the customers ask questions. I had to fill out my paperwork standing in the sun outside, so there was some small mistakes the people working there were not happy to find. After filling out the paperwork I had about a 2 week wait time. Overall this was just a bad experience. I'm just going to go to bix box store if this is the kind of treatment you get going with the small guys. To his credit the elderly gentlemen who seemed to be running the store provider much better service once I finally came in contact with him. Getting through the line was another matter.
Don't go there for a private party transfer, I went in they told me $50 for the transfer and $25 for the BGC, they could have just said they don't do them like they told my friend 2 weeks before. I checked with the Milwaukie location and they aren't supposed to charge more and they acted like they didn't believe me when i told them. I wont go back to the Tigard location. People were polite but naming there own prices on private transfers is very shady.
