Hello Guys and Gals,
This place is amazing. I've been met with nothing but courtesy and professionalism. I recently brought two of my antique Winchester rifles to Ron for cleaning and adjustment. He was fair in pricing and finished them way ahead of promised date (only had them 4 days). I had taken them to a local competitor who had them for 4 weeks….did nothing and got upset when I called for update. I collected them and took them to Ron and Doug. I will never go anywhere else.

In addition I went to them today with my 15 year old son. Ron treated us like family. My son ended up selecting a nice hand made knife that Ron recommended and gave a great price. He even posed for a picture with my son. I approved of the knife and could not be happier!!!!!

Great FFL. Accommodates online transfers. Quick to respond and makes the process easy. No fuss, no qualms, and great prices. With stock being varied at local shops, finding a FFL close to me in east portland/gresham has been a huge bonus. Dannys great to work with and I will use him moving forward for all my transfers. He's also a dealer for Geissele and has a linked Silencer Shop. Pretty simple to me.

If you are looking for a single color coating for any firearm, give this place your business. It was a quick turn around for it being the summer and the finish came out very good. The shotgun still ran like a champ just like how I dropped it off.

Great place to do a transfer if that's your area. Owner remembered me from six years ago doing a firearms sale.

I guess some company bought the land here and blocked off the roads. I did not know this when I showed up. Pulled up to the gate and I was like "I just drove an hour and a half to get out here, I'm shooting lol" So I slung up my AR, range bag and an ammo can with about 300 rounds of .223 and walked my bubblegum up the road. Its pretty easy but its a walk regardless. Takes about 20-25 minutes.

I guess some weird tweakers live down by the river here. Some dude on a minibike told me that. He also tried to tell me to go down a different fork in the trail. I was like nah bro. Anyway kept walking with my ear pro turned up because now I'm a little paranoid. Twas chill.

Got up to the pit. As I walk up I hear an insane noise. I hear it before I see it. A huge fighter jet flys directly over me just above the tree line. It was wild. It happened in about 2 seconds.

Anyway, dope pit. Probably going to sling some more rounds here while I can this summer.

I've only had the pleasure of meeting here for a couple transfers, but Jeremy seems like a stand-up guy. Nothing but good vibes.

I dont know his current status, but if you ever need help with a specific project, or a part or piece ordered. It's way worth the drive. Family oriented and isn't one of those money grabbing snowflakes. He's going to be my first call when back on my feet

Coat of Arms held my stamp for over 260 days.

October 9th, 2020 = ATF Mailed the Stamp
July 3rd, 2021 = I picked up my Stamp and can.

I just now picked up my CAN from Coat of Arms. It is less than 24hrs since I confirmed it was actually there after I called them yesterday afternoon. Its been 268 days after the stamp was mailed from Portland OR to Coat of Arms in Salem OR.

I called 3 months ago and ask for any updates on it. I was told nothing was in yet, the person even called me back 15 min later to say "nope not in yet, I double checked".

A friend that also purchased a can from them via. Silencer shop got a call his was in 3 months ago. When he picked it up he said the employee there told them they "found a stack of stamps in a desk". This is why I called at that time.

This month crossed the 13 month time frame of the check being cashed by the ATF. I new somthing was not right. Yesterday I called and spoke with a person at Coat of Arms and he found and confirmed my stamp was there. I was told:

"We tried calling your number but its a business with no voicemail set up"
"Called on "1/16/21 and again on 6/3/21" This is also noted on the envelope of my stamp, both with notes of "NO VM Option" and "Business that does not have a VM stet up".

Few issues with this.
#1 in the dozen or so stamps I have purchased from Silencer shop every dealer has been able to contact me. (Rich's Gun shop, Curts Discount Shooter Supply, TJ Gun Sales) This is the only time I have used this shop.

#2 my business has 3 full time CSRs manning the phones, and we very much have voice mail set up. Staff may miss a call now and then but rest assured we have live metrics that track messages left and how long it takes to return that call. There is no voice mail issues.

I was told they have had some staffing issues and they are correcting the problem. I get that, but over 260 days is just not a simple "sorry about that". I purchased the can via SilencerShop website, this means Coat of Arms was charged a 2.8% commission for the sale out of their profit. However they still made decent profit on the sale. It would be reasonable for them to OWN their staffing issue and at a minimum offer a credit in their store for their error. Where as the staff was plesent when picking up my can there was no attempt to make any amends for their in house issue. As I shared, I already have plenty of cans its not my first so I have been shooting quite this whole time. If it was my one and only I would be lived.

I want to support LGS, why I through the business to them even with them being a 2hr round trip drive. But unfortunately this whole experience says DO NOT use Coat of Arms for your NFA transfers. I hope they have fixed their problems but 260 days and no attempt to issue a consolation says move on.

These guys have handled a great deal of my state to state transfers from back east, and I have nothing but good things to say. Great crew, knowledgeable staff. Can't really ask for too much more.
Often had a limited selection, but very well curated and thoughtfully selected. Kudos!

Competent. The ultimate compliment! Pricing for transfers is reasonable.

I've been around to several shops in the area from kirkland/bellevue/etc.. and these guys and gals are great and carry no chips on their shoulder or arrogance (you know who you are).

Prices are good and the service and knowledge they have to help a seasoned builder to a novice is top notch.

Moved to Monroe 4 years ago and had to find a local shop. Tried one of the more well known ones in town (not going to mention any names) and was not impressed. Found Spectyr in the local business park and never looked back. All my transfers go through them if I cannot find it in their store.

I like these guys and recommend them to anyone else in the area.

I've done many quick easy transfers here. No issues and friendly staff. I use them anytime I have a local deal closer to PDX.

These guys are always super friendly and the transfers have always been $25, you can't go wrong!

Every time I have made the trip up David has always been extremely helpful extremely customer focused and more than willing to help great pricing and an absolute pleasure to deal with!

What is there to check the place out. Absolutely impressed with what I found. David was a very nice guy to deal with and talk to you very knowledgeable and patient! Great prices throughout the store! Will definitely be doing business with him again!!
