Generally ignorant employees who couldn't care less about helping customers.

Literally everything else.
Waited 20 minutes for an employee with "keys" to show up to unlock ammunition case. When employee with keys finally arrived they were rude and complaining about their fellow coworkers.
Good selection of AR-style rifles, bolt action rifles, and shotguns
Very good selection of handguns - new and consignment
Cons
Can be busy at times - but keeps them in business!
Ammo selection often very thin - but welcome to 2021
A small, locally-owned LGS in Salem, Oregon. A great place to go for FFL transfers with a reasonable fee ($30). A good cross-section of parts, optics, handguns and long guns. Although , ammo selection can reach drought proportions on most occasions. The staff are the highlight of this business. While sometimes appearing a little gruff or short, you have to understand the Retail industry. When it's busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest, patience can be stretched thin - especially with the guy wanting to tell you how much HE knows about the history of the 30-06 caliber and it's importance in modern society... Anyway, visit the crew on a random Tuesday or Wednesday at 2:00 pm and you'll find a more chipper group of guys willing to chat with you about your new sub-MOA Bergara B-14 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, and share with you those helpful tips on keeping your new tack driver clean!
God Bless Tick Licker and the USA!
I appreciate 295 Tactical, private party transfers are $10 background and $30 transfer fee for the first gun and $10 each for any additional gun. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great people to work with. 1414 Main St in Springfield. Closed Sunday and Monday
I've bought a few items from them - rifles, and 2 pistols. They could not get the best price on any of these, but they acted as my FFL from where I did buy them. Good service. Good inventory of items. I also sold a pistol to them that I thought was lower than I expected. But, they are local to me and I would recommend them.
Great shop I love to stop in when I'm not busy. Don't buy ammo from them but purchased scope mounts and gas tubes and handrails and they extremely helpful in making sure I got the right stuff and mounted it quickly and accurately.
Background Check and Transfer service easy and reasonably priced
Parts Inventory is endless
Ryan is a great person to work with!
Cons
Works over night so Limited office hours but always responsive
Ryan has had an FFL for +15-years focusing initially on collectables and over all those years has accumulated not only an amazing weapons and ATF regulation knowledge but a parts inventory to build virtually any modern legal firearm or repair/replace many, many collectables.
Background Check (BC) and Transfer service is easy and reasonably priced. I use Ryan's services exclusively knowing that anything sent to him is received securely and my BC is quick and easy.
Best person to work with for the first time buyer or an "old-hand" with lots of weapons!
The best actions available, knowledgeable staff, Great customer service
Cons
very busy, turnaround times for custom actions can be months
I love Bat actions. They are the best available for competative shooting. I use dual port B and 3lug actions with a melonite finish.
Finish work is amazing. Can't say enough about them.
You may have to wait for a lane if you're not a member who can reserve a lane
I've only been a few times but I found it to be a great place to go shooting. The facilities are very clean and modern. It seemed well staffed and the staff was friendly and helpful. I had a good experience checking in. I did have to wait for a lane but I don't think I had to wait very long, maybe 15-20 mins. I do wish I could reserve a lane without needing to be a member. The range officers seemed professional and friendly.
A bit on the pricey side of things if you look elsewhere (online) but they are very helpful and knowledgeable. The selection is also pretty good. Just prepare to pay for it. Friendly store!
These guys have it figured out. Great mix of super high quality gear and more moderate gear too. Makes buying and building rifles a breeze. I try and get up there as often as I can. Keep up the solid work!
The title says it all, Transferring of new or used gun it takes little time. The guy on the phone was curtsies and to the point. Good source for the gun loving consumer.
