So I'm moving into my first house this weekend and I'm looking for a functional deq approved wood stove to put in.
Hoping someone on here has replaced on with a gas, or pellet stove maybe.
Thanks, Jordan
Pellet stoves suck and are usually replaced w/a wood stove.
the average home in the Salem area uses 4-6 cords a year.
Have you investigated a propane furnace? If do not have source of free firewood propane may be the better deal, cost and convienance wise.
I actually have access to all the wood I'd need. I live by myself also, and in my old fireplace I used less than a cord per year.
I just prefer the wood heat too though.
Thanks for the heads up.
