Has anyone tried one of the Uberti Top-Break revolvers here? I'm thinking about picking one up for fun at a range, but I thought i'd ask around to hear some other folk's experiences before I start dogging for it.
I've shot a few, handled a few more, still want one.
My preference would be a Model 3 in.44 Russian or 44-40. All that I have shot have been .45 Long Colt, and they were impressively accurate. (all with the longer barrel).
I've been holding out for Taylor's special run of color-cased/charcoal blued version, but they can give me no lead time for the next batch's production (if ever).
Beautifully made. Shot well. Quickly sold it off. Why? Mainly so used to Webley / Enfield type latch, which is a bit different. Couldn't get quite used to the handling. And, candidly, it was in an era in which I was all over the map with interests. Sort of wish I hung on to it.
