I got an email from Pyramydair advertising this 'toy' gun today. At first glance I didn't notice that it's basically a plastic gun with cardboard 'skin' on the outside, giving it the look of an AR. To top it off, the thing shoots 'spitballs' - little wads of paper you soak in water before you load them into shells, and then into the magazine. It shoots up to 65' at 100FPS and splats on the target. Even comes with a spitball mold so you can reload, or you can buy them in bags of 500 (not pre-moistened).

I suppose some kids would have fun with these. $40 for the kit, which has to be assembled from 124 parts. I would probably have enjoyed one of these when I was a kid.
