Navy spy plane with 9 on board overshoots Marine base runway in Hawaii, ends up in bay: "It was unbelievable"
A photo taken by witness Diane Dircks showed the plane in water just offshore, a sight reminiscent of the 2009 "Miracle on the Hudson."

Lmao the slant is strong here. The Boeing P-8A Poseidon is a Maritime patrol/reconnaissance aircraft. It's not a "spy plane" in the sense that it doesn't do things surreptitiously and all sneaky-like in order to get SIGINT and visual intelligence of enemy stuff... it's main job is to look around the ocean for potential threats to the Navy's battle groups and engage such threats with weapons.
