Personally I don't think it would make any change. Idiots could be drowning in squalor with city controlled by illegal immigrant warlord bands, and they would still be like, "we just need to help them". "Let's give them more money and then they won't be interested in crime" or whatever. Basically they are constantly looking for soem way to redistribute wealth to so called "oppressed classes" so that they can talk about how virtuous they are on Facebook.
Great, they can turn the place they live into a 3d world sewer and enjoy it. Even the most hard core left change VERY fast when it hits them. Right now too many of them still just have it too good. Those with means up and move. Those without will finally get to a breaking point. Just has to be enough pain. Will be fun to watch.
I agree but when they reach the breaking point they don't change their voting habits Imo. They say "I have to get out of here" and move, and keep the same mentality thereby starting the same cycle all over again somewhere else.

It has never worked anyplace it has been tried. The only reason it keeps being tried again is it "sounds great". Those at the top of course want the power since they exempt themselves from the pain. When enough pain is felt people will change how they vote. The BIG problem is so many who should know better give up. You see it here all the time. People telling anyone who will listen to them to also give up and not bother. Then they of course scream when we lose elections they sat out.
Again when enough pain is felt MANY will change how they do things. Another good change will come when heavy blue states run off enough of the people who pay taxes to feel real pain. All that "free money" buys a LOT of power until those who pay in leave and take their money with them.
