New to this site and am very happy to have found it!
I went into Sporting Systems, and Luke told me about this site. It was the first time I had been in their shop, and I was impressed with the quality of their inventory and the helpfulness of Luke and his knowledge.
About Me: Male, 74 years old.
Almost all of my gun use is shotguns for waterfowl and upland birds. I started hunting at 12 years old. I have harvested deer, elk, and antelope, but I can't do that anymore due to a bad knee.
I have plenty of shotguns to choose from when hunting, and I still always take my 870 Wingmaster (1970). It is so special, smooth action, and an enhanced stock from my blood. I was hunting ducks on Sauvie Island's East Side unit in the 70's. I was filling in a blind with some tall grass, and it cut my right hand fairly deep, causing a bleed for hours in the steady rain. I was holding the gun the whole time. The blood penetrated the stock, making the grain stand out in an absolutely beautiful way. Very special to me, as this was the first quality shotgun I ever owned. Like I said, my favorite gun I own.
I also have a CWP, and my everyday carry is a Sig P365XL or a 380 mouse Ruger LCP 2, depending on my clothes.
Nice to be here, glad to be meeting you!
Dave
