New Haven 600AB ,Mossberg 500 same thing?

Pump 12 gauge shotgun,28 inch plain barrel.2 3/4 and 3 inch.Thing looks in about new cond.Is this the same gun as a mossberg 500?Ser no D17542 ,what year was it produced?Must has sat in a gun cabinet most its life,double rib pump slide,seems to be well made.Paid 100.00 was a consignment shotgun.

Yes...this is a Mossberg 500 series shotgun.
The 'New Haven" markings were for various department stores from the 1960s to 1980s

And yeah if the bore is as nice as the outside of the gun...a damn fine buy.

Thanks Andy,bore is as new,found a ser. no. site says 1972.Looks like a lot of these had a poly choke back in the day,dont care for those, made before screw in chokes were available I guess, this one is Modified, perfect for me.
