Mcx virtus gassing/forward assist

I have 11.5 vitrus with SiCo chimera 300. Gassing is not great. Thinking of getting the gas port forward assist, does anyone know if this will fit?

Also what have people done to help with blowback besides charging handles?

You shooting subsonic or regular ammo?

The right ammo is the most important factor from what I've read. Still waiting on my Sig 300 can though, so I have no real world experience on this one.
