So, I have this 33" scope with tapered reticle that nobody seems to know anything about, other than it's old...really old.
Wm Malcolm began making rifle telescopes in 1857 and died in 1890; his family took the business from Syracuse, NY to Vermont, or something.
The last 'Long Scopes' were made in 1880, when they followed business trends to shorter tubes.
That's all I got.
Was it a Civil War Sniper scope? I dunno...any additional info is much appreciated.
Thanks.
