Except sage rat hunting is not illegal and is beneficial.

Has nothing to do with Northwest hunting...you know the sub-section's title.
Also it appears that the focus in the article is on the illegal killing of birds....which is not hunting.

And while I do not like or agree with the killing of animals just for the sake of killing them...
Ain't nothing I can do about it when it is happening in Lebanon.
