This plate carrier, I acquired from eBay, was the last one in Large size available in Woodland Camo. But they still list other sizes in the camo, and other colors in the size (Ranger Green). LBX is the offshore production branch of London Bridge Trading Company, Incorporated. They use US materials and webbing, and hardware for the LBX brand, and make them in Peru and supposedly in Virginia Beach, VA also; though I've never come across that particular production branded LBX as opposed to the normal LBT-Inc brand.

My impression on the construction and stitch work; pretty good. It uses Woodland 500D Cordura on the faces, Camo Green 400-420D Nylon Pack Cloth/Duck (same as ALICE rucksacks) on the insides, and Mil Spec feeling webbing (identical to that of the MOLLE and SPEAR ELCS webbing). There are reinforcement stitches in zigzag/bar tacks on the shoulder straps mounts, grab/drag handle, and on the MOLLE front panel. I am not sure if there are more stitching on the inside of the side seams beyond the visible single stitch on the perimeter.

It has two plate pockets inside, for both soft and hard armor, plus a larger flat pocket that holds thin foam padding.

The single strap on the top center is for a neck armor attachment I think?

As is, the cummerbund, is a bit floppy, being only two layers of material plus webbing and Velcro, and too short for my big belly/chest... But it is easily replaceable with an elastic cummerbund or other aftermarket cummerbunds. The MOLLE flap only has enough MOLLE for 3 magazine pouches across.

On to photos!

The above from eBay;

With SPEAR ELCS (SPecial operations Equipment Advanced Requirements, Enhanced Load Carrying System) pouches and MOLLE II Sustainment pouch. Easily fits Large SAPI size Level 4 plates from Highcom, the 4S17M model. There is extra inch or so of length/height on the carrier but that helps with moving pouches a little lower to better fit the person.

ELCS pouch breakdown;
3x double mag pouches
2x triple mag pouches
2x Large GP pouches; one for IFAK, one for general stuff
1x Small GP pouch

For a total of ,12 mags.

The Sustainment pouch will get a webbing loop sewn inside to hang a CamelBak bladder.

Well. I went and modified the cummerbund to be structural by opening a couple seams, inserting a couple stiffener panels of 0.030" flexible HDPE, and sewing it all back up with my Rex RX6-7D walking foot machine, using mil-spec #92 nylon thread. Then I swapped the original black shock cord for the much longer USMC IMTV repair kit shock cord... Boom. It now fits me better, no flopping around when jumping, cummerbund sides don't sag from the weight of pouches or from my fat rolls. And best of all, I can go back to the original shock cord when I eventually lose weight. So this will do for now until I get around to making a MOLLE panel that looks like a chest rig, and an elastic cummerbund. But for now? This will be good.

On my fat torso. It's like a lifting girdle (or a manliest corset) :s0140:
