K98 Marking Identification

Greetings all,

I have a Yugo Capture K98 that has been scrubbed of most of its original German proof marks. When I had the rifle apart, I noticed some strange markings under the wood line on the receiver. Are these the Steyr "lucky charms" I have heard of? I was hoping someone here, who is more fluent in Mauser than myself, may have some insight.
