Hey everyone, Alan here. It is with sad news that I will be leaving J&B Firearms. I am sad to leave, but due to unforeseen family needs, I will be moving to Georgia at the end of May. I should have reached out to all my pending customers at this point, but if you currently have work with me, it will be completed before my departure. I will continue to perform walk-in services until I move.

J&B would like to continue the services I offered after I leave, but may take a little time to transition to a qualified employee. If you have something pressing, please reach out to Alex @ Vernonia Machine Works. That being said, I am actively seeking and taking applications for qualified individuals that are interested in gunsmithing/armoring here at J&B. Please send all questions and resumes to [email protected]

Please only apply if you have previous experience or qualifications, as I do not have the time to train someone from the ground up.

Thank you to everyone that has supported me and valued my work. I hope that one day I can continue my passion when I get settled in Georgia. I'll still be a member here as well as my social media accounts.

-Alan

well, dang! "Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans" If you haven't started on mine feel free to put it to the side and i'll pick it up on Sat. It's just a range toy so I'm in no rush and you likely need all the time you can get!

plus I spent a bit of the money for it on something else

We've never met but you and your work have a stellar reputation. I spent about a third of my life in Georgia - big culture shock, but it's definitely got some positives. What part are you gonna be in?

I grew up there, so it'll be nothing new! I'll be an hour north of Atlanta.

You've made a lasting positive impact on the gun community in the Portland area. Your departure will leave a void that is unlikely to be filled any time soon. I hope Georgia brings you good things.

So still just inside the perimeter, given traffic. ;)

Jokes aside I was in the Marietta/Kennesaw area as a teen and young adult and there's some stuff I miss, though Portland's always gonna be home for me. Hope it's a great move for you and yours.

And yes, obligatory, "move into the countryyyy, gonna eat a lot of peaches"
