I never had any of the Russian 7.62, only Chinese. The Chinese tins of that size came in two types: 550 rounds on strippers, and 720 rounds in paper packets. If I had to guess, based on the date, I'd speculate that it's in the white paper packets and no strippers.

Correct . After some indepth searching i found it is not on clips and in 20rd boxes .I will leave this up for a while so if someone could use the info probably not to many folks that run into this anymore.
