I've got lifelong friends that are directly in the path of hurricane Helene which is bearing down on them in just a few short hours.
Please say a prayer to keep them safe.

Well its gotta be bad if they shut down the Waffle House.
It would be a PITA to live there they get those every so often. Would be tempting to have one of those shelters built that will withstand them.

Back in 2010 I helped drive my son from Port Angeles to Nags Head, NC in a U-Haul truck & trailer.. With me half asleep we crossed into Missouri and he slammed on the brakes and yelled WAFFLE HOUSE, we gonna eat good now Pops.
Been many a year since I'd eaten at one of them, and I swear I could feel my veins coagulating with a grease. That was the last time I've graced a Waffle House.
