Lucky you.I like my obsidian 45 just fine...
In the alley behind the nearest 7/11.How does one sell a suppressor in the Albany area these days with the $0 tax stamp situation?
It hasnt been a thing but it is now. Becoming common. You can get half off a suppressor with no $200. They dont really go bad.I didn't know anybody ever sold these once they got them.
Pervs!Low hanging fruit...
Totally agree. I haven't found anyone in PDX area that will do private transfers on them yet though. Adaptive won't. If anyone knows of any please let us know. Thx!It hasnt been a thing but it is now. Becoming common. You can get half off a suppressor with no $200. They dont really go bad.
That is kind of a tough one. An ffl has to enter it in his books to transfer on a 4473 and you can't do that on NFA without a form 4 from an individual.Totally agree. So you didn't meet up or use the ffl at all? All we have to do is put the ffl's name down?I live in Portland and have sold a few cans, to other Oregonians.
Per the local branch ATF, you fill out a paper form 4 (could POSSIBLY now be ok to eform file, but I have not gotten confirm on that) as the FFL as the transferor of the can. The transferee needs to then fill it out like normal, and send it in with their fingerprints and photos.
When I did it last, it took about 3 months for the stamp(s) to come back. Then I called the guy and we met up in person, and I handed him the stamps and the cans.
Super easy honestly.
They are actually super helpful and polite, in my experience. Give them a call, (503) 331-7830.
No, you dont have to use an FFL nor do you need to list an FFL as you are the owner. You are filling it out as if you ARE the FFL. My bad for any confusion. It does look like on the ATF Eform site you can now do transfers individual to individual, as I thought. So its really straightforward if you just go on the Eforms site.So you didn't meet up or use the ffl at all? All we have to do is put the ffl's name down?
Excellent info thx a lot! I'm tempted to both buy and sell some this way now. Why not? The stamp cost is gone. No, you dont have to use an FFL nor do you need to list an FFL as you are the owner.
