welcome.i started like you with the springfield mil spec 1911,and went through glocks and s&wmp40 and a few others just to trade them off and buy a kimber 1911 to go with my springfield mil sec.i decided it was better to have 2 1911's(or more)and have extra mags and ammo all in the same caliber.i love the 1911...i loved my glock too though.
