Glock 20SF

Interested in a Glock 20SF but would like to try before I buy. I can't find any range that rents this caliber because of the lack of demand or expense of the ammo. Any suggestions?

Shoot any 10mm to see how the recoil is.
Shoot a Glock 21 SF to see how the frame feels.
21 SF should be common enough to find.
Same frame size as the 20 SF.

Unless you are going to load or buy full power ammo, just shoot a .40s&w and that will show you what the recoil will be like.

If you are worried about recoil, don't. The factory loaded 10MM ammo in the Glock G20SF has less felt recoil than a Glock G23 firing factory loaded 40S&W. Even if you reload or buy some full power loads from Buffalo Bore or Swamp Fox recoil is not a problem. If you want recoil touch off some 454 Casull or 44 mag. Once you do fire some 10MM full power rounds there will be no turning back.

You must be buying some wimpy loads.There is plenty of difference between the 10mm and the 40S&W.
Now as nubus stated,it isn't much different than a 21 in 45ACP.Maybe a little more kick but not much.But you will get a feel for the size of the grip and weight of the gun too. You'll see if it fits your hand.
It is a larger grip than a lot of semi autos

Yes, most factory loads are wimpy. That is what I was implying. The Glock G20SF is their full size frame and has more mass than their G23 which is their mid size frame and has less mass. Therfore you would have less felt recoil in the G20SF versus the G23. Even if you hand load or buy ammo from Buffalo Bore or Swamp Fox that is full power the recoil in the G20SF is not like that of a 44mag or 454 casull.
