Not too long ago I read about the different slide treatments between the two manufacturers. As stated above in the link, Austria seems to still use the Tennifer treament, where US made does not. MSRP seems to be the same as well as store prices that I have seen.

Also, I like Euro made guns because of their proof testings; why not opt for a gun that can digest hotter rounds regularly. Proofing has to be 30% higher than CIP standards to pass.

Lastly, I am not a GLOCK guy, sold them all, but that this is a good price and I would have bought one since I never owned a G19 (the only GLOCK I could actually shoot well).

I haven't read all of the pages, but the first page was a lot of back and forth on difference or no difference in quality.

Good to know this argument is out there though. To be honest, I'm not sure I've ever paid attention to what it said on the slide as far as country of origin.

I miss the 50$ off at fisherman's marine on Glocks, brought the price down to 450 but that was yrs ago. Gen 3 is my fav gen.
