A range bud brought his new Garmin C1 chrono to show and tell yesterday , for five hundred + it's out of my budget but wow it sure is cool. Comes with a mini tripod just stand it on the bench ,turn on and shoot over it. Can be mounted to a photo tripod also I believe.
Connects to app on phone and gives all kinds of data that can be saved, emailed. etc

Have one. Agree with all the above. I see that Caldwell now has a chirp radar one that claims to give real data along the bullet travel path. The only thing I hate about the Garmin is that it made my MagnetoSpeed V3 about worthless for resale/trade value...

I made this little mount for mine so I can carry everything I need from the shop out to shoot in one trip. It sits between the bipod frame and clamp, requires no mods to the bipod or firearm and the legs still fold like normal.

Yep too much $ for my use. I don't load my own rounds so my only use is curiosity really. Every round pretty much I can find the velocity online somewhere. I may get one of the $29 Amazon ones though just to see if different barrel treatments make any difference in velocity for .22 LR subs. Can return for refund easily if it sucks. $30 is about all I'm willing to pay cuz I don't have much use for it. Again just for scientific curiosity. If I actually needed the data like making my own custom loads then the garmin would be very attractive.
