Did a Costco run earlier. Costco doesn't allow weapons. Conceal carried as normal, as such isn't against the law in Oregon. Costco *could* ask anyone to leave/file trespass tho, so there's that.
I'm with you on this. I don't go to Costco, but I never pay attention to signs like that.

Our daughter had a baby last month and I had to go put my knife back in the truck as there was security with a wand. He was a younger guy in what looked like great physical condition, but still wasn't armed. I don't like that crap. Disarm me, but can't protect me...

Cold steel isn't necessarily steel.

Hhm, interesting. I have never seen any security at the BEND Costco, nor a no carry sign but next time I'm there I'll look for one.

I don't actually shop there but every few weeks I go to Bend with an elderly neighbor to help who does, and has back issues . So while he rides the electric shopping cart I walk around, BS with people and take note of the prices which ain't always that good.

After Costco we go to Winco where I do MY shopping !

The no weapons thingy is a part of your Costco membership rules.

I do not believe any Costco we've been in has any signage.

Being a membership club, they don't need signage. Again, in Oregon, such doesn't hold direct weight of law. Other States such rule &/or signage MAY hold direct weight of law.
