Cutting and threading a barrel?

Are there any local gunsmiths in the Portland area that folks would recommend for a barrel cut down and threading? I might pick up an extra CX4 and SBR it, but not sure if I want to ship it off to somewhere. thanks for ideas!

Not a SBR, but as close as you can get without spending $200 bucks and several months of your life waiting for permission. This is a Remington 700, chambered in 223 that Alex @Vernonia MW cut from 20" down to 14.5", threaded the muzzle, and pinned/welded the Surefire brake to bring it to 16" overall length. Alex does some phenomenal work!

I bull pupped an SKS. I had to shorten and reinstall the AK74 flash hider on it.
It took a reverse metric Russian die to make the threads.
Aint never doing that again.
