My brief foray into .44 is over, so my loss is your gain. Nice, compact .44 special, 5-shot revolver. This one is the harder-to-find, without a spurred hammer, DA only, so perfect for a no-snag self-defense revolver. I purchased it used off GB and fired 50 rounds through it. It was VERY accurate, especially for a 2.5 inch barrel! Plenty of power too, especially compared to .38 special. I did have two failures to ignite with the PMC Bronze ammunition; which is known for having very hard primers. it's pretty easy to get and swap in a stronger hammer spring, if one wanted to run hard primer ammo in this revolver for self-defense purposes. I'm pricing it accordingly, the spring from Wolff Springs is less than $10. Comes with 75 rounds of PMC Bronze Ammo! Priced at lowest prices on GB for used Charter .44's, which are without 75 rounds of ammunition or shipping. Only $250 firm. Comes in original box too. Buyer pays FFL fees within Portland Metro.
