I found two of these listed as "New" on Ebay, and they both come with their original packaging and a box of Arrow staples. One was made in 2005, the other in 2017. Both are Made In USA, which is important because the new production ones are made in China.

I also found an American-made Arrow T30, which LOOKS smaller and easier to carry around, but Google doesn't give me a "what's the difference between the two?" answer, so I don't know much about it. The T50 seems to be the go-to.

Does anyone have one of these, and do you think it makes a difference on the date? Should I get the older or newer one? This would be for stapling up targets as necessary. That, and it's always nice to have a reliable stapler for the tool box.

Or should I get a vintage Swingline instead? Lots of nice ones on there too.

Thanks.

I have been buying Powershot staplers at garage and estate sales. I find them easier to handle, especially to apply down pressure while pulling the "trigger." Mine use the T50 staples.

I am somewhat of a staple gun hoarder myself. I have multiple T-50's and because of a recent failure of my vintage Power Shot, I now own my second Power Shot.

For heavy duty work, the T-50 is a better stapler. The Power Shot is handy on softer woods and/or with shorter staples, or even tacks.

The T-30 is a stapler for use with smaller gauge staples. They don't call it the T-30 any longer, but i also have the newer version, whatever it's called. Maybe JT-27? And it's my preferred stapler for stapling targets to plywood at the range.

Matching staplers to staples has been a little confusing to me, especially when adding the Stanley brand to the mix. So I stock multiple sizes and gauges of staples and just keep trying them til I find a match.

This also caused me to investigate... My most recent Arrow stapler, a JT-21 is in fact made in CHINA. :(

Yeah, unfortunately I think all of Arrow's staplers are made in China now. That's why I'm looking on Ebay, and only at the US-made ones, which pretty much means "Vintage".
