My first AR ever was a factory Anderson AM15. Had so many issues with it the first time taking it out I returned it back to Cabelas. If you're getting a factory rifle I would stay away from them. Just get a PSA, they are more reliable out of the box. This was before I started building my own. Anderson receivers are fine however.
 
I would never consider Anderson, PSA, Bear Creek, Del-Ton, and several other discount vendors. I have just read too many stories about out of spec blah blah, canted FSBs, et cetera.

But if it is just a range toy, Anderson would be fine for someone not as quality obsessed as I am.
