I have this old .410 shotgun. Unsure who the maker is but from a little searching I suspect it's a German made gun. Some marking it show a picture of a crown, the letter "B", another crown, the letter "U".

I've shot this a handful of times to take out critters in the back yard and it fires well with no issues. The gun could use some TLC though. Any thoughts on the value?

Try this one over at Gunboards.com. Although its generally a military weapons collectors' site, nearly any post about a rare or otherwise collectable commercial firearm will get you some kind of response.

Have you looked under the forearm or taken the barell off and looked at the underside? The crowns are most likely the proofs from testing the barells.
If you find any other markings take a good pic and post.
