I need a muzzle brake for a .338 Lapua in 5/8x24. Any suggestions?
I found an adapter from 5/8x24 to 1/2x28, is there any reason not to use it and go to a 1/2x28 Brake? It looks like a 3/4" thread is what is commonly used for .338 these days.

1/2x28 is normally used on small bore (bellow .30 cal), 5/8x24 on large bore (above .30 cal).

Should be reasonably easy to find a brake threaded correctly without any adapters.

(No recommendations, sorry, don't own a .338)

I found some, thanks

I have a TI Pro on a 300 NMI and I was very impressed with the recoil reduction! This was on a 15 lb rifle but it still thumped far less than expected.

I have a custom 338 that was maga ported. Very ,very impressive in recoil reduction. Also one of my most accurate rifles, although probably noy due to magna porting.
