It's time to get the kids out shooting. I have been looking at everything from the single shot Crickets to 10/22's. I don't want it to be too big and heavy. Optics are fine but it must still have the iron sights, they are going to learn to shoot irons before they are allowed to use optics (they are also going to learn to drive a manual transmission before they are allowed to drive an auto). I will not pay over $150. Let me know what you have. Thanks.

I have decided that a 10/22 is what I want to go with. So, if anybody has one, let me know. Under $200 please (otherwise I'll just go to Bi Mart and buy a new one). Thanks.

I am happy to say that I found a great deal on a 10/22. Now I have to fight the urge to start modding it and remind myself that I have my own and this one is for the kids.
