Up for sale is a rare bird… my 6 inch S&W 29-2 (6 inch 29-2 was made for less than three years) in .44 mag. This particular example was made in 1980.
It appears to be in excellent condition with nice deep bluing and crack/major dent-free target stocks. Bore is nearly perfect and crown is great. Some spots of minor pitting/inactive corrosion are present on various areas of the bluing. Cylinder locks up tightly and trigger pull is smooth with a superb single action. Hammer and trigger are blued but all other bluing appears original; it's possible that was requested via special order when purchased by its original owner. All assembly codes match, no factory re-work stamps. The white paint on the rear sight is no longer present.
