I'm thinking of parting with my stunning 1940 42 code (Mauser Oberndorf) dd block K98k. Sn is 6269 dd. I picked this up off the K98k Forum a few years back from a well known member and collector. It's verified 100% matching down to the smallest screw. It has a duffle cut (proving vet bring back), however, it was professionally repaired. It can shoot if you'd want it to, though I wouldn't shoot a matching rifle these days with how rare they are (that's what RC's are for!). While I love the rifle, I have other matching K98k's in my collection that I prefer.
The rifle is a fantastic example of early war Mauser Oberndorf quality. It's got beautiful bluing all around and a really clean red laminate stock. It's a quality collector's piece in it's rare, factory original, unmolested condition. If you know about K98k collecting, you know how much the premium is on matching rifles. The value of a rifle like this will only continue to rise.
I'm looking for $3500 cash. No trades. I'm willing to ship to your FFL or meet anywhere in the Portland metro area. The gun will come with a hard case and a period correct sling.
