Hello and thanks for looking.

For sale is an M.95/30 Steyr made in 1916. It comes with 55 rounds of 8x56R and two clips.

The Austro-Hungarian Empire made these rifles during the first world war, and afterward, a lot of them got distributed to other nations as reparations. This particular rifle ended up in Bulgaria, which refurbished it into a carbine and upgraded it to the more powerful 8x56R round. This gun is a sweet shooter with a great bore. The recoil is stout, comparable to 8mm Mauser. The bolt is a little stiffer than I like in my guns, but I don't notice when shooting it. During the refurbishment process, parts from different factories were put together, and buying a new extractor could make it smoother. $50 is the priciest I've seen for an extractor; it just has not been a big enough issue for me to care. The upper handguard is marked "32," while the rest of the rifle matches itself.

The ammo is 40 rounds of 1939 Bulgarian manufacture and 15 rounds of new production PPU.

One clip has a W faintly stamped, which I believe means made in Austria pre-1938, while the other is stamped with a Nazi eagle and swastika.

This is a nice rifle that would make a great addition to your collection. If you have any questions, please let me know. I am asking $500 OBO for everything, and it will come with a soft case for safe transporting. I am willing to entertain trades for other firearms, preferably other milsurps, but the worst I'll do is say no. In-person preferred, but I would be ready to ship on your dime.

I've valued the rifle at $450 and the ammo at $50; send an offer or trade idea if interested. Some things that would interest me for trading would be any South American/Turkish/Spanish Mauser, Carcanos (been looking for a full-sized), Arisakas, Mosins, or decent shotguns i.e. Remington 870.
